Welcome to the Heart of Kikoi Connection

Our mission is clear: to create a vibrant and inclusive space that celebrates the richness of Black identity, history, and heritage. We are committed to fostering education that challenges perspectives, engagement that forges connections, and empowerment that drives positive change.

Through comprehensive resources, inspiring events, and unwavering support, we strive to be the recognised one-stop hub for defining our collective identity, addressing our needs, and championing mutual benefit. Together, we build a stronger, more united community where every voice is heard, every individual is empowered, and every achievement is celebrated.

Together, we will continue to break barriers, challenge norms, and celebrate our heritage as we march towards a future filled with unity, growth, and empowerment.

Foster leadership skills and empowerment within the community. Encourage individuals to take ownership of their narratives, enabling them to become agents of change and advocates for their rights and well-being.

We advocate for social justice and dismantle systemic racism, inequality, and discrimination. We amplify marginalized voices and actively participate in efforts that drive positive change towards a truly equitable society.

Promote the idea that when individuals and the community thrive, everyone benefits. Encourage collaboration, resource-sharing, and support among community members. We raise awareness of Black history, heritage, and contemporary issues through open dialogue and accurate information. We empower individuals to challenge stereotypes and promote understanding. Embracing diversity within the Black community, we create a welcoming space for all backgrounds and perspectives, fostering unity that transcends differences.

We aim to be the heart of our community, celebrating the rich heritage and contributions of Black people locally and globally. Through powerful resources and events, we foster cultural pride, encouraging exploration of roots and the preservation of our legacy. We strive to be a trusted resource, addressing needs, providing support, and uplifting the entire community

Our Core Values

The Team at Kikoi Connection

Kikoi Connection is made up of six unique groups, each focused on different areas of community development and empowerment. While each group operates independently to drive its specific mission, we come together as a collective to achieve our shared core values including: promoting inclusivity, advancing social justice, and fostering unity within our community.

By combining our diverse strengths, we are able to create meaningful, lasting change and ensure that every voice is heard and every effort contributes to the greater good.

Our leadership team consists of representatives from each group, with elected officers emerging from this dedicated pool. Their collective expertise and passion drive our coalition’s initiatives, ensuring that our work creates a lasting impact and meaningful change. With a large membership base that keeps growing, over the last four years we have achieved so much more.
